Rethink Low Impact Development

Enhance and Make Your Design More Effective

Low Impact Development (LID) design maximizes the use of land for developers and reduces stormwater runoff going to municipal systems and receiving water bodies. LID design is a solution to reduce the size of traditional stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs).

LID design offers developers solutions that can reduce the amount of land used to manage stormwater. Traditional stormwater BMPs, like ponds, take up a lot of space. Our products offer solutions to convert landscaped and paved areas to stormwater management areas.

How We Can Help

The BAM Engineered Filtration Media can integrate into any LID design to enhance nutrient removal. Customized blends offer dissolved nutrient reduction in addition to total suspended solids removal.

The PIPE-R Reservoir System is an underground detention and retention system that takes the place of conventional stormwater ponds. The PIPE-R system provides additional storage and treatment capacity to LID applications like pervious pavements and rain gardens and is a cost-effective underground storage solution.

LID stormwater design mimics natural conditions that manages stormwater. The goal is to return stormwater runoff to aquifers through infiltration or clean stormwater prior to discharge with natural processes. Our products are made from natural and recycled materials and safe for the environment.

Our products offer several solutions to meet your LID design needs within BMPs like:

  • Rain gardens
  • Vegetated filter strips
  • Tree wells
  • Permeable pavers, concrete or asphalt
  • Green roofs
